Lot 22. Erno Dohnanyi (1877-1960). Hungarian conductor, composer, and pianist. Using his position as a conductor, Dohn?nyi pioneered the performance of Bart?k's more accessible music to boost its popularity. Unlike most other famous pianists of the time, Dohn?nyi did not limit himself to solo recitals and concerto solos, but also played chamber music.

ALS in English on 4.5x3.5 postcard, January 17, 1902. In full, "Dear Mr. Holiday: I am sorry not to have the score of my Symphonie [sic], but if Dr. Richter has no objection I will try to arrange that youheard the last rehearsal."
