Berra. (Born 1925). Baseball player and coach. Catcher with the New York Yankees for 17 years. Manager and coach for Yankees, New York Mets, and Houston Astros. Gibson. Born 1935). One of the most dominating pitchers in baseball history. He was known for his fast ball, his control, and his intense concentration on the mound. Gibson played his entire major league career with the St. Louis Cardinals of the National League. He became the second pitcher in baseball history to strike out 3,000 batters. Gibson was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1981.
